Market liberalism, opening, constitutional reform
Formed in the 1970s. It argues for exchange at market prices with states outside the Bloc, which Articles 6 and 265 place beyond the reach of any majority. It voted against Resolution 61 of 14 May 2026.
Ideology
The party holds that a price formed by exchange conveys information that no planning procedure reproduces, and that the Republic pays for the absence of that information in shortages and in misdirected production. It cites the Long Winter as the case, and the objection is set out in full on the economy pages of this register.
Its liberalism is political as well as economic. It holds that the state should be limited in what it may decide for a person, and it applies that position against the planning bodies and against the depersonalisation of the official record with the same argument.
Position on the Constitution
The party supported most of the draft. It opposed the ownership settlement of Article 6(2) and the list of acts made void by Article 265.
It accepts that both sit inside the unamendable core of Article 310 and that its route to either is a Convention under Article 312. Everything else in its programme is proposed within the text as it stands.
Programme
Exchange at prices, with states outside the Bloc
The party wants the terms of external exchange set by price where the counterparty is outside the union, which Article 265(1) makes void as presently drafted. It proposes that the argument be put to a Convention.
Until then it works within Article 21, which permits licences to foreign entities, revocable and limited in time, on terms the Republic sets.
"We lost four months of eye care to a warehouse nobody knew about. That is not a failure of administration; it is what happens when no signal exists. We are asking for the signal back in the goods where it costs least to have it."

The inventory of external dependence
Article 301(5) requires a public inventory of every external dependence with a plan for ending each one. The party proposes that each entry be given two figures: the cost of producing the item within the Republic, and the cost of obtaining it by exchange. Where the second figure is lower, the party proposes exchange.
Against instructing the record
The party opposed the depersonalisation resolution and continues to. Its objection is procedural: the Office of Constitutional Revision is an organ of the state, and a resolution of the chamber that directs it on the manner of writing history is objectionable whatever it directs.
Reform by the stated route
The party has brought no measure aimed at attaining a prohibited result indirectly, which Article 266 would make void in any case. It proposes that the review Article 318 opens in 2036 be prepared for from now, with the questions published as they arise.
Relations outside the Republic
The party has relations with liberal European party families. It supports Ukraine, opposes the parties of the far right in Europe, and takes no position favourable to Russia.
Public opinion
Twenty-two per cent of respondents describe the party favourably and 52 per cent unfavourably. Nineteen per cent say they would consider voting for it, a figure that rose from 12 per cent during the Long Winter and has fallen back by three points since.
Its support is strongest in Quintorum, Sornorum and Cortius, and among technical and planning staff, where it reaches 14 per cent. In the same survey, 29 per cent of all respondents agree that a price mechanism should be used for some goods, which is five times the party's vote.
