Corcina

Corcina is a town of 87,000 residents in the sub-region of Belvacius, in the Eastern Region of the Republic of Fluid. A hill town of the south-east, among the wind installations and the upland pasture.

Setting

Corcina is set on the Belvacius hills, high ground running down to the south-eastern coast. The ground is exposed, the district is thinly settled, and the hills hold the best wind resource in the Republic. The southern boundary of the plate is compressional and runs below this margin, where earthquakes are more frequent than in the western sub-regions.

History

The district was agricultural until the energy transition. The first installations were sited in 1998, after a procedure that the commune describes as inadequate. Article 32(5) now requires the participation of the affected commune and compensation for burdens borne on behalf of everyone else.

Work and provision

Wind generation and maintenance, upland sheep, forestry, and the regional grid control room.

Government

Elected communal council under Article 141(2).

Historic and descriptive record maintained by the Office of Constitutional Revision. It is not law.
