The railway branch, federated since 1993
Every cooperative that runs a train in the Republic is a member here. Eight route groups operate the main lines. Twenty sub-regional operators run the branches inside them. The federation maintains the timetable, the stations, the gate record and the card. Podnik builds the vehicles and publishes where they are. We run them.

The network
Thirty-eight routes over 6,210 km, shown as a schematic with the sub-regional boundaries, and the list of 145 stations.
-
The application
Trains may be added to a wait list, schedules may be added to watchs for changes, and faults may be reported from the platform via the app.
It reads from the Podnik feed and anyone can use another client to interact with the system.

The card
CARD-ROM is a removable device with no processor of its own. Minified NAND stores records, EEPROM saves the options and the display language, and the gates and machines that read it run FreeRTOS. It is issued without charge at any machine.

The members
Eight route-group cooperatives, with sub-regional operators inside them. Each has its own assembly and sends mandated delegates to the federation.
The division of work
Podnik builds, we operate. The thirteen factories of the transport federation build the rail vehicles, keep their drawings and guarantee their parts. The cooperatives here bring the vehicles into traffic, staff them, maintain them in the depots the sub-regions provide, and answer for the timetable. A route group that wants a different vehicle sends a design proposal to the Podnik assembly. The southern cooperative did that for the R8/A in 2026.
The position feed comes from them. Every vehicle in traffic reports to api.podnik.rof. Our application reads that feed as any other client does, with no key and no privilege. The timetable, the station identifiers and the gate counts are ours, and we publish them on the same terms: no account, no quota, public domain under Article 10.
The rail stock is electric. The wire is at 25 kV, 50 Hz over 5,425 km. The remaining 785 km are operated by the SED R8 and its variants on the 220 kWh reserve battery. The Torvena branch reopened in 2017 on that reserve. The railway keeps thirty-four diesel yard locomotives, and they stay within the yards and sidings.
