Gloss tool
This puts one word under another. It keeps the word order of what you typed, it knows the set phrases in the phrasebook, and it marks in red anything outside the lexicon. It is not a translator.
What it cannot do
- It does not conjugate. Fluidian has one verb form, so nothing is lost translating to English. Translating to Fluidian, an English tense is thrown away and you must add es or va yourself.
- It does not reorder. An adjective typed before its noun in English will come out before its noun in Fluidian, which is wrong.
- It does not choose between senses. Where a word has several, the first is given and the rest are on the entry.
- It does not know a word outside the lexicon.
For anything that matters, the phrasebook is the safer instrument, and for anything that matters legally there is an interpreter, free of charge, under Article 16(1).
