Every method used to produce an indicator is published, open to public criticism, and revised upon reasoned objection.

What is published with each indicator

Objecting to a method

How to lodge an objection

State the indicator, the step of the method objected to, and the reason. An objection may be lodged at any communal office, by letter, or through the public information system, free of charge.

Every reasoned objection receives a written answer. Where the objection is accepted, the method is revised, the revision is dated, and the indicator is recomputed for the periods affected.

Objections and answers are published together at /methods/objections in the open data of the Office.

3 May 2026	Concentration of the means of communication	Audience share omitted organisations of record reaching fewer than ten thousand people	Accepted in part. Small organisations are now counted in the denominator and stated separately.
21 March 2026	Observance of participation	A procedure held late was counted as held	Accepted. Late and unheld procedures are now counted separately and both are stated.
9 February 2026	Accessibility of registration	An obstacle recorded and later removed was counted for the whole period	Declined, with reasons. An obstacle that existed is a fact about the period, and the date of removal is published beside it.
