Lutoliluri
Lutoliluri is a town of 209,000 residents in the sub-region of Sornorum, in the Eastern Region of the Republic of Fluid. The southern port, the sea route to Sluland, and the town where the strike wave began.
Setting
Lutoliluri is on the southern coast at the head of the maritime corridor to Reformed Luces Aporia. With the land frontier shut since 1939, most of the remaining external exchange of the Republic passes through the port. The motorway from Lindoma through Sornorum ends here.
History
On a day in 1971 the dockers struck over a target they said could not be met safely. Three of them were killed when a crane was loaded past its limit. Within eleven days the shipyards at Lindoma were out, then Durorilaqui, then everything, and two years later the Directorate was gone. Article 116 requires dangerous, unhealthy, monotonous and degrading tasks to be registered publicly and engineered away, and Article 71(1) gives every worker the right to refuse work that endangers life or health, without reprisal.
Work and provision
Container and bulk handling, the ferry and freight services to Sluland, ship repair, and the external account through which Article 117(1) requires all foreign exchange to pass.
Government
Elected communal council under Article 141(2). The dockers' federation still holds its congress on the anniversary.
