Estimate published by the Office · external audit by the auditor appointed by the Constitutional Court on 22 May 2026 · report published in full
Findings against the Office
The external auditor found the accounts truthful and made two recommendations. Equipment purchased 1.2 per cent above the materials ceiling was procured without recording the reason, and the Office has accepted the finding, recorded the reason retrospectively and published it. Retention of working papers beyond the permitted period was found in one closed audit, and the papers have been destroyed with a record of the destruction.
Both findings are published in full, on the same terms as findings concerning any other body, together with the remedies accepted.
Composition of the Office
The college has five members, drawn by lot in public session from the pool of Article 236, confirmed by the Judicial Council, each serving one term of seven years without renewal. Terms are staggered so that no more than two members are replaced in any year. No member may serve in another oversight office at any time in a career.
Declarations of interest, contributions and personal property are published on taking office and annually thereafter, and the Office of Democratic Integrity verifies them. The college of the Office is drawn on 28 September 2026, and the pool stands at 1,106 persons.
